Deep Cleaning vs. Regular Cleaning: Which One Does Your Home Need?
The two services share a name and almost nothing else. Here is how to tell which one your home is actually asking for — and why the honest answer is sometimes both.
Everything clients ask before booking — including the questions worth asking any cleaning company you are considering.
For a standard house cleaning, a few days is usually enough. Deep cleans need about a week because they are longer jobs that have to be slotted carefully. Move out cleans in the last week of any month should be booked two to three weeks ahead — that window fills across the whole county at once.
Residential crews run Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Commercial work is mostly after hours, typically between 6:00 PM and midnight. We are closed on Sundays, though we will answer messages left over the weekend on Monday morning.
Often yes for standard cleaning, particularly midweek. Fridays and Saturdays book out first. If your timing is tight, tell us the deadline when you call and we will tell you straight away whether we can meet it rather than leaving you waiting.
Call or text at least 48 hours ahead and there is no charge. Inside 48 hours we bill half the visit, because the crew's day is already assigned and that time cannot be resold. Emergencies are handled case by case and we are not unreasonable about them.
Because square footage is a poor predictor. Two homes of identical size can differ by two hours once you account for pets, floor type, clutter level, ceiling height and bathroom condition. A quote given over the phone is a guess, and guesses get corrected on the day — usually upward.
Card, bank transfer and cash. Recurring residential clients are usually invoiced after each visit; commercial accounts are billed monthly on standard terms. We do not ask for a deposit on standard residential work.
For recurring plans, yes — the first visit is priced as a reset because it has to remove whatever accumulated before we arrived. After that the ongoing rate reflects maintenance work. One-off cleans do not have a separate first-visit rate.
No. The quote is the price. Add-ons like oven interiors or interior windows are listed separately with their own prices so you can add or remove them, and they are never applied without you approving them first.
We do not do exterior windows above ground floor, carpet extraction, laundry beyond changing linens, dishes beyond loading a dishwasher, pet waste, mould remediation, or anything requiring a ladder above standard reach. Several of those are available as separate services or through specialists we can point you to.
Yes, at any time. Permanent changes are updated in your written scope and repriced if they affect the time meaningfully. One-off additions can be requested up to 24 hours before a visit so the crew's day can absorb them.
Cabinet interiors are part of deep cleaning and move out cleaning, and they appear on the rotating detail list for recurring clients. They are not in a standard one-off visit, because emptying and refilling cabinets adds substantial time to every room.
Every key and code is logged to a named person and stored securely, never labelled with an address. If a crew member leaves the company, codes on their assigned properties are rotated and the client is notified. We are happy to work to your own security procedure if you have one.
Yes, every person who enters a client property is screened before they start. We can confirm this in writing before your first visit. It is a reasonable thing to ask any cleaning company, and a company that hesitates to answer it is telling you something.
You tell us, we document it, and it goes through our liability coverage. Accidents are rare but they are not zero, and the point of carrying insurance is that a broken item is a claim rather than an argument. We would rather hear about it immediately than discover it later.
Yes — vacuums, mops, cloths, buckets and all products come with the crew. Nothing is shared between properties without being laundered or sanitised first, and cloths are colour-coded so bathroom tools never reach a kitchen surface.
Yes. Tell us at the walkthrough if anyone in the household has asthma, allergies or a chemical sensitivity, and we will adjust the kit. You can also leave out your own products and we will use those instead.
Our default kit is plant-based and low-residue, which is appropriate around children and animals once surfaces are dry. Stronger products used on deep cleans are ventilated and rinsed. If you want a strictly fragrance-free, no-acid approach, we can work that way — just say so before the visit.
South River and everything within roughly twenty miles: East Brunswick, Sayreville, Old Bridge, New Brunswick, Milltown, North Brunswick, Spotswood, Edison, Monroe Township, Perth Amboy and Highland Park, plus the smaller communities between them.
Not within the standard range. For properties at the outer edge, a small job may need to be scheduled alongside another visit in the same area on the same day. We will tell you at the quote stage if that applies.
Sometimes, for existing clients with a second property or for larger commercial jobs. Ask and we will give you a direct answer rather than accepting work we cannot service reliably.
If something in your written scope was missed, tell us within 24 hours and we return to redo that area at no charge. The scope is what makes the guarantee meaningful — it defines exactly what was promised, so there is nothing to debate.
Not for residential work. Recurring service continues until you tell us to stop, with no term and no cancellation fee. Commercial accounts start with a three-month initial term so the scope can be properly tuned, then continue month to month.
Someone briefed on your written scope covers the visit, and you are told before the day rather than finding out at the door. If a permanent change to your assigned crew is needed, we tell you and explain why.
We close on major holidays. Visits that fall on one are moved to the nearest available day, and we contact you the week before to agree the new date rather than assuming what works for you.
Call or text the same number you booked on, or email us. Problems reported directly get resolved fastest — we would much rather hear about a missed bathroom on Tuesday than read about it in a review in three weeks.
Call, text or email. We answer every message the same business day, and we will tell you if we are not the right fit for the job.
Guides we wrote because clients kept asking the same questions.

Checkout at eleven, check-in at three. Here is the sequence that fits a full turnover into four hours without the corners that show up in reviews.
Cleaning is one of the most commonly itemised deductions from a security deposit — and one of the easiest to contest, if you left the right evidence behind.
The next step is a free walkthrough. It takes about twenty minutes and there is no obligation attached to it.
